When we were planning on taking our kids to the Woodland Park Zoo, North of Seattle, Lynnwood appeared to be the ideal place to find a hotel. We were not wrong; we had an amazing time at the Homewood Suites Lynnwood and recommend it to anyone headed to the Seattle area, whether it be a family vacation, or a girls shopping trip!

Homewood Suites Lynnwood Seattle Review

The Homewood Suites by Hilton Lynnwood lies just north of Seattle, Washington in Snohomish County. It is only 4 years old; everything is clean, fresh and up-to-date. A quick look around at the white linen sheets, the modern d̩cor in the bathrooms, the flat screen tvӪs and the stainless steel appliances in the kitchen makes you feel comfortable and well taken care of!

The hotel itself was clean, welcoming, and the staff was very prompt and attentive. We were instantly greeted with a sincere smile despite the 9pm check-in and were quickly on our way to enjoying what was to be a very fun and relaxing weekend.

ROOM OPTIONS AND AMENITIES:

We had booked the hotel with the intention of taking the kids to the zoo, and didn”™t want to try and do it all in one day. It ended up being the perfect weekend as it was the first trip with my two associate writers and we all have children the same age! With three adults and 4 children (5 and under), we stayed in adjoining King Studio Suites. But a one-bedroom suite with two queen beds would have worked as well. I love that the Homewood Suites has so many room options to suit any need!…

This hotel hit everything on our Five Hotel Musts List.

Homewood Suites Lynnwood Review

… The rooms are finished with modern décor and granite counters, giving the rooms a luxurious feel, accompanied with crisp white linens, and nice white fluffy towels.…  The kitchenette in the suites were also well appointed.…  The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, and well stocked with toiletries. The bathrooms in the King Studio”™s did not have a bathtub, which is not ideal with small children. But our kids were happy to use the shower.

PARKING:

There was lots of parking outside, without the need to give your license plate, or place a placard on your dash. The hotel back door was secured with an electronic key fob, to prevent unwanted access through the back

SPACE:

One of the suites was a King accessible, which allowed for a lot more room to move around with kids underfoot. The adjoining King Studio Suite still had ample space for our needs. There was room to sit in the living area or the small bar. There was no traditional kitchen table in the room.

GENUINE STAFF:

Each staff member we encountered was more than helpful and genuinely seemed to be happy to see us, thanking us for staying with them ”“ was a nice personal touch.

Breakfast hot

CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST:

The hot and hearty American breakfast each morning was delicious with plenty of choices and ample seating.…  We especially liked the waffle maker and the choices of hot food or fresh fruits.

Hot and Hearty Breakfast Bar

Sunday was quite busy, and seating was slightly limited, however, this was likely due to Spring break starting in the area, our choice to arrive after 9am (compared to 8am the previous morning) and it must not be a secret that it”™s a great hotel!

Swimming Pool

POOL AND RECREATION:

The kids and adults alike really enjoyed the pool area.…  We tried the waterslide and relaxed in the hot tub. It was nice to have a lifeguard on duty on the weekends.… We did find it tough to find a chair at prime time, so we just joined the kids in the pool!

There is also a 24 hour gym and a billiards room.

While we did not make use of the bbq area, and outdoor sitting area (complete with a fire pit), we certainly will next time, and we did see guests using them. What a great addition to make your stay feel like “home.”

Toast and Muffin Bar

The hotel itself is conveniently situated a ten minute walk (if that) to Target, Costco, Khol”™s, Alderwood Mall and other shopping and restaurants. … This will most definitely be our go to hotel when we return, which hopefully will not be too far away!

Do not miss out on an opportunity to stay at this property next time you are in the area.
