Shiba Park Hotel Review

2024-07-03 by Lindsay Nieminen

Shiba Park hotel is the perfect base for those looking for a well appointed Western- style hotel. It offers genuine Japanese style hospitality and an upscale environment.

Shiba Park hotel is centrally located, making it convenient to get to any part of the city. It is located in Minato City close to the Tokyo Tower! It has easy access from the Mita Line’s Onarimon Station as well as the Diamon Station that serves the Asakusa Line and Oedo line. The JR Hamamatsucho Stn is also close walking distance.

While these may not make sense in the planning stage, having three train station lines within close walking distance is perfect for getting out and into the rest of Tokyo. It is also in a relatively quiet area, perfect for those who are looking to escape the busy tourist areas.

About The Hotel

Shiba Park Hotel is known for its comfort, great amenities, and library-style nooks all over the hotel. The books are themed around Tokyo’s culture, people and history. Each of its floors has different features and book nooks where guests can enjoy over 1500 different titles!

Shiba Park Hotel Features

Shiba Park Hotel has 199 rooms of various sizes, with some connecting rooms that are perfect for families. We had one of these connecting rooms where one room had a king bed and the other had two twins. Having four people, it was nice to have the two bathrooms that the connecting rooms provided. Note that Shiba Park does not have a lot of connecting rooms so you must make sure to confirm you are able to book one when you make your reservation. (We had a deluxe king room connected to a twin room).

The hotel has free Wi-fi, in-room fridges, a kettle, a laundromat on site, as well as microwaves and ice machines. They have a vending machine-style wine and sake dispenser, as well as beer options for guests. There is a large buffet breakfast and the dining room is open for guests for lunch and dinner.

Shiba Park Hotel differs from many other Japanese hotels. While many provide amenities in the lobby in a help-yourself manner, Shiba Park offers in-room amenities that are restocked as needed. Their sustainability practices are evident with the refillable shampoo, conditioner and body wash in each room.

The Shiba Park hotel is the perfect base for your Tokyo travels. If you have larger luggage or are moving around a lot while in Japan, make sure you arrange luggage handing service. This is something unique to Japan and it is very popular!
