DoubleTree Kamloops Hotel Review
Situated in downtown Kamloops, in British Columbia, Canada, the DoubleTree by Hilton Kamloops is an ideal choice for your Kamloops getaway. Whether you are in town with your family, for a baseball tournament or even for business the Doubletree will make your stay in Kamloops very comfortable. With modern d̩cor, huge flat screen TVӪs in the bedroom, breakfast on site, complimentary Wi-Fi, refrigerators, 24 hour (air-conditioned) fitness center, an outdoor pool and hot tub, and free parking it offers everything you need for a weekend getaway!
We arrived around 8pm on a Friday night, it was a three hour drive to Kamloops from the Vancouver suburbs on the beautiful Coquihalla Highway (Highway 5). We were welcomed with a chocolate chip cookie each (who can say no to that after their kids just sat nicely in the car for three hours!) and promptly checked in! we took advantage of the luggage carts (always a bonus in our books!) and upstairs we went! Quick change into our bathing suits and we hit the pool to let the kids run off some energy!
We woke up Saturday morning to find a farmers market literally right outside the hotel! That was a nice surprise! After we enjoyed the buffet breakfast we headed outside to wander the stalls before we left for Paul Lake!
A Note about the breakfast: they serve typical American style buffet breakfast options including bacon, sausages, eggs, toast, potatoes, pancakes, cereal, yogourt and fresh fruits, but the servers were happy to accommodate other dietary requests (such as rice) on an on-demand basis! Check with your server for more details!
If you are a follower of our site, you will know about our Family Hotel Musts, and the DoubleTree by Hilton Kamloops crosses almost all of them off the list. The outdoor pool was the perfect size for the kids, and a great place to play after spending the day exploring the local beaches and parks that Kamloops has to offer! There is a breakfast option available, as well as a restaurant menu option. The one thing that the DoubleTree does not check off our list was spacious rooms. They are typical hotel room size, which was fine for our stay (as we did not spend much time in our room except to sleep) but if we were spending more than a weekend in Kamloops we may have looked for something larger or perhaps with a kitchen. If you do vacation with your pets, the DoubleTree in Kamloops is pet friendly! Check with them for more information.

We would like to thank the DoubleTree for hosting our stay in Kamloops, but as always, our opinions are our own!
